CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

Encorp Berhad holds to the belief that to remain a sustainable business, we need to have socially accountable growth. Thus, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme considers all areas of the current and future impact of business operations on the environment, our employees, local communities and society in general. Encorps CSR ethos is about creating a positive impact on society, including and going beyond philanthropy and corporate governance.

2023 – ENCORP Earth Hour Celebration

ENCORP in collaboration with Strand Mall celebrated Earth Hour for a brighter and greener future!

2023 – Tudung Lama Owner Baru & Charity Drive Turkey Earthquake

ENCORP & Strand Mall partnered with Fazura on the Charity Drive for the Turkey Earthquake. 

2023 – ENCORP Sponsored Football Jersey for Kelab Bola Sepak SSS Leopard

ENCORP supported Malaysia’s football women players by contributing their of their third full kit jerseys to the players of Kelab Bola Sepak SSS Leopard.

2022 – ENCORP Cheer Gift Box

ENCORP’s gift-giving initiative for Pusat Jagaan Kasih Harapan and Telaga Kasih Nur Muhammad orphanage homes included shoe boxes filled with personal hygiene products, stationaries, and toys, as well as household items, while employees spent time with the children.

2022 – ENCORP Sponsored T-Shirts for Children of Sekolah Kebangsaan Rentam FELDA

ENCORP sponsored T-shirts for the children of Sekolah Kebangsaan Rentam FELDA, Bera, to support their extracurricular activities.

2022 – ENCORP sponsored home-away kit jerseys to Kelab Bola Sepak Sekolah Sukan Negeri Johor 

ENCORP supported Malaysia’s football young players by contributing a home-away full kit jerseys to the students of Kelab Bola Sepak Sekolah Sukan Negeri Johor.

2022 – ENCORP & Strand Mall recycling bin initiative 

ENCORP continued its environmental awareness programme, which has been running since 2020, where employees collectively gathered reusable and recyclable materials and send them to the IPC Recycling & Buy Back Centre.

2022 – Miss World Charity

ENCORP donated RM30,000 to the Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu for the aid of children with cancer and thalassemia at the Sabah Women & Children Hospital (Likas Hospital) through the Miss World Charity Gala.

2022 – Blood Donation Drive

In collaboration with Strand Mall, Alpha IVF Women’s Specialists and National Blood Centre Malaysia, ENCORP organised a Blood Donation drive at Strand Mall, Kota Damansara. The event, is open to the public with the aim of creating awareness and increasing the number of blood donors among Malaysians.

2022 – Iftar with Rumah Cahaya Kasih

The month of caring and sharing with the children of Rumah Cahaya Kasih, Kota Damansara.

2022 – Iftar Treat with Rumah Kasih Harmoni

Iftar meals for the less fortunate with the children of Rumah Kasih Harmoni, Paya Jaras.

2022 – Raising Books, Raising Readers

Over 300 used books collected from employees to be reuse for a reading corner in Strand Mall.

2021 – Flash Flood Aid (ENCORP Kongsi Bersama)

ENCORP distributed basic necessities to the flood-affected families who were evacuated to the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) flood relief centre.

2021 – ENCORP Food Bank Kongsi Bersama

ENCORP set up a Food Bank station at Strand Mall to distribute basic necessities to a total of 291 Kota Damansara households and Food Riders.

2021 – ENCORP ECO Campaign

Collective drive for recyclable items. All items were separated and disposed properly at IPC Recycling & Buy Back Centre.

2020 – ENCORP Sharedbox Cheer

ENCORP Shoebox Cheer gift-giving to pusat Jagaan Telaga Kasih Nur Muhammad, an orphanage in Kota Damansara.

2020 – ENCORP Recycle

76 employees collectively gathered reusable and recyclable materials ranging from paper, plastic bottles or containers and glass jars. All items collected were separated and disposed properly. Employees had also supported the cause by wearing green for a day.

2020 – ENCORP ECO Month Environmental Awareness

During the Conditional Movement Control Order, Encorp organised an environmental awareness programme throughout the organisation.

2019 – ENCORP Project Indigenous

ENCORP volunteers worked together with Sekolah Gombak Kebangsaan Utara and Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli for a fun-filled programme with 120 Orang Asli children from the community of Bukit Kala Batu 12, Gombak. Determined to improve the lives of the community especially on education, ENCORP sponsored five Primary 6 students for their Yearly Additional Supplementary Class Fees and assisted 18 families with the Parent-Teacher Association yearly fees.

2019 – Don’t Paint The Town Red

Advocating road safety to the primary school students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seksyen 6, Kota Damansara, ENCORP organised an awareness programme with the collaboration of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS). The programme is geared towards inculcating good road habits as a pedestrian and cyclist. Apart from a road safety talk by MIROS supplemented a flyer on road safety tips, ENCORP volunteers also painted a section of the school wall with an educational and fun visual on road safety.

2019 – Back To Nature

ENCORP gave an educational experience to 30 underprivileged children from Zomi Education Center of Kota Damansara, to be up close and personal with the animals at the Farm in the City petting zoo in Seri Kembangan. It was the first time experience for these children to learn, explore and interact with the farm animals. ENCORP employees were dedicated to guiding, accompanying and bringing smiles to the children throughout the whole event.

2018 – A Night With The Homeless

ENCORP hosted a programme in aid of the homeless at Pusat Transit Gelandangan Kuala Lumpur (the Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Centre). This activity is the third collaboration with Yayasan Kebajikan Negara (YKN). The event provided two food trucks which offered a range of Asian and Western cuisines, free trendy haircut by Joe’s Barber Shop and a birthday celebration for all. The programme was graced by the presence of YBhg Datin Paduka Che Asmah Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer of YKN.

2018 – Blood Donation At Strand Mall

In collaboration with Strand Mall and National Blood Centre Malaysia, Encorp organised a Blood Donation drive at Strand Mall, Kota Damansara. The event, is open to the public with the aim of creating awareness and increasing the number of blood donors among Malaysians. Over 50 Encorp blood donors took part as an act of kindness to help those in need regardless of ethnic background or cultural beliefs. This has also helped to increase the blood supply in the country’s blood bank.

2018 – Firefighter With Anak Yatim

ENCORP’s CSR Volunteers created a day in a life of a fire fighter for the children of Rumah Perlindungan Anak-Anak Yatim, Al-Nasuha, Batu Caves at Sungai Buloh, Fire 7 Rescue Station. It is the home’s first experience of such an event, and was filled with fun activities, being educated about fire safety, able to meet the brave fire fighters in the community, exposure to ride on a fire truck and operate a charged fire hose.
