ENCORP APPOINTS GCEO WITH STRONG LEGAL, GOVERNANCE AND
PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT EXPERTISE
KOTA DAMANSARA, June 10 – Encorp Berhad (ENCORP) is pleased to announce the
appointment of Ahmad Harzimi Mohd Taib as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO),
effective from 10 June 2025. This marks a pivotal move to navigate the turnaround of the
Group and explore new growth opportunities.
Harzimi brings over 25 years of diverse professional experience with a strong foundation in
property development, construction, legal and governance. He is a trained corporate lawyer
and well regarded for his strategic mindset, depth of insight in governance and extensive
experience in property development, having served across public and private sectors.
His appointment marks a significant milestone in ENCORP’s journey toward strengthening its
leadership and driving strategic growth. It also reflects the Group’s commitment to being an
“Enlightened Corporation, Makes Enlightened Nation.”
Harzimi has held senior leadership roles in prominent property development organisations,
including TH Properties Sdn. Bhd., the real estate arm of Lembaga Tabung Haji, where he was
also entrusted as the Officer In-Charge of the Group Chief Executive Officer from 1 April 2024
to 31 August 2024. He successfully led daily operations and strategic business development
efforts while overseeing key divisions and departments namely the Group Chief Executive
Officer’s Office, Business and Corporate Affairs, Business Development & Planning, Human
Resources & Administration, Information Technology (IT), Quality, Safety, Health and
Environment (QSHE), Accounts and Corporate Finance, Legal & Governance, Facilities
Management and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG).
Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Legal at PR1MA Corporation Malaysia where he
played a key role in the legal, governance and operational aspects of PR1MA Homes
development nationwide including land, planning, construction, sales and marketing.
Earlier in his career, Harzimi played a role in the development of Malaysia’s administrative
capital of Putrajaya where he served at Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd., the master developer
of Putrajaya, where he was involved in the concession negotiations with the Government of
Malaysia. He later joined KUB Malaysia Berhad as Head of Legal and Secretarial, supporting
its diverse portfolio including property and construction, before joining Messrs. Zul Rafique &
Partners, one of the biggest legal firms in Malaysia as a Partner in Infrastructure and
Construction practice group.
Harzimi holds a LL.B (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He was
also an Advocate and Solicitor, having been called to the Malaysian Bar.
Commenting on the appointment, Yusmadi Yusoff, Chairman of ENCORP said, “We are
